- ABOUT THIS WORLD
- ----------------
-
- Welcome to the Planets World, where you can zoom around an astronomically
- accurate 3D model of the solar system and chat with your fellow
- "astronauts"!
-
- This is a complete VRML 2.0 world, and runs _only_ under a VRML 2.0 browser
- which supports Java behaviors like Sony's "Moving Worlds" compliant browser
- (beta version 2, which is also included on this CD).
-
- NOTICE: THIS IS PRE-RELEASE SOFTWARE. You can find a more up-to-date
- version at http://www.spiw.com/vs.
-
-
- HOW TO USE THE PLANETS WORLD
- ----------------------------
-
- * Load Sony's VRML 2.0 browser, beta version 2. (This world revision is
- not guaranteed to work on any other version.)
- * Select the OPEN option from the FILE pulldown menu. Select the
- Planets directory and click on "main.wrl".
- * You'll find yourself among the planets and freely able to move about.
-
- There are several elements of interest in this world. This pre-release
- version includes these features:
-
- * The planets can be turned on by clicking on them.
- * If you can find the "comet", click on it and experience a guided tour
- of the solar system on top of the comet.
- * The orbits of the planets are astromically accurate.
-
- When you're finished using the world, your may close Sony's VRML 2.0
- browser like you would any other Windows application.
