  21. Welcome to the Planets World, where you can zoom around an astronomically
  22. accurate 3D model of the solar system and chat with your fellow
  23. "astronauts"!
  24.  
  25. This is a complete VRML 2.0 world, and runs _only_ under a VRML 2.0 browser
  26. which supports Java behaviors like Sony's "Moving Worlds" compliant browser
  27. (beta version 2, which is also included on this CD).

  29. NOTICE: THIS IS PRE-RELEASE SOFTWARE.  You can find a more up-to-date
  30. version at http://www.spiw.com/vs.

  33. HOW TO USE THE PLANETS WORLD
  34. ----------------------------

  36. * Load Sony's VRML 2.0 browser, beta version 2.  (This world revision is
  37. not guaranteed to work on any other version.)
  38. * Select the OPEN option from the FILE pulldown menu.  Select the
  39. Planets directory and click on "main.wrl".
  40. * You'll find yourself among the planets and freely able to move about.
  41.  
  42. There are several elements of interest in this world.  This pre-release
  43. version includes these features:
  44.  
  45. * The planets can be turned on by clicking on them.
  46. * If you can find the "comet", click on it and experience a guided tour
  47. of the solar system on top of the comet.
  48. * The orbits of the planets are astromically accurate.
  49.  
  50. When you're finished using the world, your may close Sony's VRML 2.0
  51. browser like you would any other Windows application.
